This weekend the Division I Ice Hogs (8-20-0) return home this weekend looking to bounce back after three straight home losses. Tonight, February 1, 2019, Arkansas tangles with conference opponent #7 University of Central Oklahoma (15-13-0). The nationally-ranked Bronchos come to Springdale after falling to Missouri State last night by a final 4-3 score.

The Razorbacks are looking to get back into the win column after being shutout 4-0 last night against Oklahoma. During the program’s Division I era, the Bronchos lead the series all-time 10-1. The Razorbacks will be looking for revenge against a Broncho team that beat them the very first game of the season by only one goal. The Bronchos have gotten off to a 3-3-0 start to the spring semester, while the Razorbacks have started the semester at 2-4-0. Puck drop is set for 7:30 PM Friday night and 5:00 PM Saturday at the Jones Center in Springdale.

The #3 DIII Ice Hogs (13-10-0) will be on the road again this weekend as they head to Springfield to face rival and Pacific Region opponent #10 Missouri State University (9-12-0). This weekend’s games mark the end of regular season play for the Hogs. Arkansas enters the weekend having dropped two games to Ole Miss last weekend in Little Rock. The Ice Bears come into the weekend after splitting a pair of games with Dordt College last weekend. The Hogs are hoping to improve their record and ranking in pursuit of auto-bid to the Division III National Tournament. Meanwhile, the Ice Bears are hoping to stay in the top ten and thereby remain in contention for the Pacific Regional Tournament. The Hogs lead the series all time 21-8. The Ice Hogs and Bears met earlier this season as the Hogs beat the Bears in both of those games at the Jones Center. Arkansas has started the second half of the season with a record of 1-3 while the Bears have compiled a 1-2 overall record this past month. Puck drop is set for 9:45 PM Friday night and 2:00 PM Saturday afternoon in Springfield.

The University of Arkansas fields two hockey teams.  The Division I team’s 2018-19 schedule is available here. It has, since 2015, competed in the Western Collegiate Hockey Conference (learn more here). All home games are played at The Jones Center for Families in Springdale.
