History

Razorback Hockey got its start on the ice in 2007, paving the way for one of the fastest growths in ACHA history.  After its probationary season, the Razorback Hockey team started its first full season in the 2008-09 school year.

Since the 2008-09 season, the program has flourished.  It posted a 25-8-0 mark in the 2009-10 campaign, a run that included an eighteen-game winning streak, five straight victories over the University of Alabama, a regular season SECHC-West title, a playoff SECHC conference title, and the program’s first trip to Nationals.

Since their first conference championship in 2009-10, the Razorbacks went on to win six more conference titles during their time in the SECHC. During the 2020-21 season, Razorback Hockey would find a new conference home in the Mid-American Collegiate Hockey Association (MACHA). They would waste no time making their mark on the conference, taking home the South Division Championship, MACHA Regular Season Championship, and the MACHA Conference Tournament Championship.

Razorback Hockey has also had frequent success at the national level. In the programs short history, the team has qualified for nationals seven times. The 2020-21 season saw the Hogs advance to the Frozen Four for the first time in program history, eventually falling to Hope College in the National Championship Game. In 2020-22 Arkansas would again advance to the Final Four, losing in overtime in the Semifinal.

As of the end of the 2022-23 season, Arkansas Hockey has an overall record of 323-102-8 at DIII and 44-91-6 at DI across regular and postseason play.
