Colorado comes to town on historic weekend

20150913153253_EMP_7919__SM-MThe Division I Razorback Men’s Hockey team is set to take on the University of Colorado this Friday and Saturday night at the Jones Center.  Face-off times on both nights is 7:30 pm.  Colorado enters the weekend undefeated, having notched a pair of wins over Division II University of Northern Colorado last weekend (2-0 and 9-2 victories, respectively).  A WCHL conference foe, Colorado also enters as the #15 team in the nation.

For their part, the Razorbacks enter the weekend with an overall 3-4-0 record after having split last weekend with Illinois State.  After a 4-2 win last Friday, the Hogs dropped game two to the Redbirds by a final score of 8-2.  Despite the mixed results, the Razorbacks maintained their hold on the 25th spot in the National Rankings.

The meeting between the Buffaloes and Razorbacks establishes the University of Arkansas as the first SEC school to host ACHA Division I college hockey games.  It also marks the first Division I home series ever for the Razorback Hockey program and the first ever WCHL conference games where the Hogs play host.

Meanwhile, the Division III Razorbacks (4-0-0) travel to Euless, TX, to take on Division II University of Texas-Arlington.  Game times are 10 pm on Friday and 4:30 pm on Saturday.
