The Razorback Hockey team is pleased to announce that D-Dawson Miller has committed to Arkansas. Miller, a 6’3” 175lbs. right-shot defenseman, joins the Razorbacks after one season with the Dallas Snipers of the WSHL.
Miller, originally from Argyle, TX, joins the Razorbacks after posting 2 goals and 10 assists in 43 games during the 2018-19 season. Prior to his season with the Snipers, Miller played for the Dallas Blackhawks Elite 18U program in the highly-regarded North American Prospects Hockey League.
Miller plans to major in broadcast journalism at the U of A. When talking about his love for hockey, he said, “Hockey is special to me because of the bond you develop with your teammates.” Regarding his commitment to the University of Arkansas, Miller commented, “I chose the University of Arkansas because the school has a strong broadcasting department and because the campus is beautiful.”
“We’re excited to have Dawson come to Fayetteville in the fall,” said Andrew Falls, Associate Head Coach. “Dawson brings more size to a defensive core that will be one of the strongest in the country.”
The University of Arkansas Men’s Hockey team plays in the Southeastern Collegiate Hockey Conference. The 2019-20 season will be the team’s thirteenth season as a member of the ACHA competing in Division III. The team’s schedule can be found here.
