The Razorbacks today announced their 2015-16 schedule for the team’s 9th season in the American Collegiate Hockey Association and first at Division I. The schedule features a fan-friendly home slate of 19 weekend games at The Jones Center for Families in Springdale.
Fresh off an SECHC Championship and the most successful National Tournament berth in the Razorback Hockey history, the Razorbacks are already looking ahead to their first Division I schedule–a fierce 37 game regular season slate. The regular season begins with an exciting September lineup that starts with a first ever Sunday matinee matchup against Augustana on Sunday, Sept. 13 at the Jones Center.
The Razorbacks begin their first campaign in the Western Collegiate Hockey League the next weekend on the road against WCHL rival, Oklahoma. The Razorbacks then host two conference rivals at the Jones Center, the University of Colorado on Oct. 2 & 3 and defending National Champion University of Central Oklahoma on Oct. 9 & 10.
Highlights throughout the remainder of the season include a home tilt against Alabama on Oct. 30 & 31 at the Jones Center and rounding out 2015 with a pair of games against Illinois State on Nov. 6 & 7 and Midland on Nov. 13 & 14.
The Razorbacks schedule also includes a lengthy homestand throughout the months of January and February. Dating to Jan. 22, the Razorbacks will play 8 games at the Jones Center leading up to the National Tournament, hosted by Robert Morris-Illinois, where the Razorbacks look for their first ever appearance.
